In 2023, RE/MAX Cayman Islands created a very special and meaningful new award, the Furius Whelan Trophy, which is presented to an outstanding Sales Associate who achieves tremendous success during his or her first year as a real estate agent.
Furius Whelan was an outstanding Sales Associate with RE/MAX who earned Platinum Club status in his first year as a real estate agent, an achievement rarely, if ever, achieved by a first-year agent. His sudden passing in March of 2022 was a huge loss not just for his family, friends, and community, but to those who worked side-by-side with him during his time at RE/MAX Cayman Islands.
The second recipient of the Furius Whelan Trophy is Peter MacKenzie. Peter is being honoured for his outstanding rookie year in 2023.
The first recipient of the Furius Whelan Trophy was Mitchell Hillier who was honoured for his outstanding rookie year in 2022.

Furius’s wife, Ivana, and daughter Mia, joined the RE/MAX Cayman Islands family for the official presentation of the Furius Whelan Trophy to Peter MacKenzie.
